Breastfeeding Advocacy Organizations and information sites

Arizona Department of Health Services - LATCH-AZ website - a statewide breastfeeding coalition which serves as an umbrella coalition, bringing together other state breastfeeding coalitions and individuals to work on making Arizona a breastfeeding-friendly state:

Post Partum Support International Postpartum Support International (PSI) was founded in 1987 by Jane Honikman in Santa Barbara, California. The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum. Approximately 15% of all women will experience postpartum depression following the birth of a child. Up to 10% will experience depression or anxiety during pregnancy. When the mental health of the mother is compromised, it affects the entire family.

Arizona Breastfeeding Coalition is a non-profit organization comprised of lactation advocates, lactation professionals, physicians, nurses, dieticians, and business and health care organizations from across our state.  Our most important members are Arizona families wanting to make a difference

Post Partum couples provide information and resources to mothers and fathers. The resources here are intended to provide couples, families, and professionals with information and tools to help mothers and families heal from Postpartum Mood Disorders

Kangaroo Mother Care Promotions aims to promote the spread and implementation of Kangaroo Mother Care as the standard method of care for all newborn babies, both premature and full term. We aim to give firm scientific facts for medical and nursing professionals, and at the same time to convey these to all parents, to ensure babies get the best care.
